Craig is a Master Printer with over 30 years experience in all areas of printmaking.
He is the co-author (with Elisabeth Hodermarsky) of Conversations from the Print Studio and author of the Photogravure Studio Manual. Craig worked 25 years at Universal Limited Art Editions where he collaborated and printed with artists such as Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Elizabeth Murray, Kiki Smith, James Rosenquist and Terry Winters.
He received his MFA at SUNY Stonybrook, NY in 1995. He has taught workshops in printmaking and photogravure at New York University, Yale University and the Frans Masereel Centrum in Belgium and has exhibited his own prints abroad and in the United States. His work can be found in the Yale Art Gallery, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts (Antwerp), the Hoesch Museum (Germany) and in private collections.
Currently Craig is a Master Printer at Two Palms in NYC and is working with notable artists Cecily Brown, Mel Bochner, Peter Doig, Carroll Dunham, Ellen Gallagher, Chris Ofili, Elizabeth Peyton, Richard Prince and Matthew Ritchie.
Craig is an adjunct professor at Columbia University where he teaches the Summer Advanced Printmaking Intensive and Photogravure in the fall.
